NEW BEGINNINGS :)

1. FOODIES

At the start of the year, we had a choir cookout at Debbimb's and it was, I'm glad to say, a success! We we discovered that yuS can cook too! And his speciality is his Sheperd's pie LOL. Also, he's great at bull-shitting what the dishes represented =_=

First dish is soba noodles with minced meat wrapped in beancurd skin. Cold and refreshing! KYA~
Salad with lots of cherry tomatoes! YUMMY
salmon with lemon sauce, toasted loaf with honey dip, grilled chicken and salad (:
                                                         Debbie's cake in the making!
                                                                 Final product (:
                                                           Reunion dinner, sorta (:
^^ Grateful to have known such awesome people ^^
At Hatched! This is the Pancake party
                                                                      Loyee's egg benedict
                                                                           Kwet!
Our usual place for high class breakfast :B
2. Outing with A16 at Pierce/Along Thomson
I can't find a photo with both Jianyi and Lucas in D: However, I remeber Lucas hugging his bag for dear life and trying to dodge a huge purple insect that was hovering around his head. Lucas hates insects and flying things, i get it (vivid memory of him trying to kill a bee by using his badminton racket) HAA. We practically combed the whole stretch of Thomson before heading to crash at Debbie's house, along with a movie screening of EASY A.

3. Reunion Dinner with choir (28/1)

The only thing I could rmb was that Seb brought us to a steamboat place that was already closed down =.= I had to call my brother to ask him for an alternative around AMK, which so happens to be near Alwin's house.

4. CHIJ the Nativity Camp 6-8/2
with my fav girls from 5Faith!

Rai who's going Australia to study Sports Science (:

Made friends with Rachel Khoo (from HC), saw Low Ann too (from my OG in HC) and JiaWei (who's going to study in SMU in August)

Did I mention how I dislike children? I always had a phobia of them because i used to knock into kids in malls and getting accusatory stares from over defensive parents.. SO I DECIDED TO CHALLENGE MYSELF BY BEING AN OUTDOOR CAMP INSTRUCTOR \m/
Thank goodness for an all girls camp! They were SO ADORABLE (when they are not whining about the absence of air conditioning and apple juice) and they even have morning exercises to the track of Roly Poly from Tara ^^ Since they are from a convent school, they also say grace before meal time :) Being a camp instructor really challenge you to be physically and mentally alert? I barely had sleep because we had night duty at night at about 3am to comb that super creepy Jalan Betera Camp for an hour or so...And the safety of the girls were also in my hands because I was their belayer and I swear, my neck nearly broke because I kept it at a near angle of 90 degree, constantly telling them "you can do it!" "half way there" "hey friends, cheer for your classmates woohoo". So proud of all of them, because NONE GAVE UP AND PUT THEIR LIVES IN DANGER BY DOING A FREEFALL (my lack of sleep would probably translate to a lag time in breaking their fall-putting myself in danger too). phew~
So... yup, my patience was put to the test and I'm glad that I was able to teach them about teamwork and be less spoilt without my shouting at them to quit whinning ><
After breaking camp, I met up with Loyee and Debbie without even taking a nap and I was so high that night, I was an embarrassment to them LOL. Sorry girls <3

Our usual dinner hangout in town (:

5. Valentine's Day 2012
So guess what? I took up another job as a flower girl *puke rainbows* and was really lucky to do it with BFF :D Actually, selling flowers aint easy >< Furthermore, it was rather embarrassing because bff and I decided to get really corny and wore matching teeshirts that we got at bugis-Bunnys. Yup, we used to kid around and imitate local singers By2, who so happens to be my seniors in primary school/ballet class. I was always third in class for ballet because they always dominated the first two spots LOL.

Didn't earn much at all but it was a really great way to spend Vday with my bestie (: I also met up with ahwang at Bishan, where she helped me to sell the remaining roses to a cute angmoh. Floyd wasn't really pleased that his gf ditched him for a friend.. sorry!!

A16 coming down to support LOCAL TALENT :D AT NATIONAL LIBRARY!
Also, I am very proud of Winkyboomz and her stnicks babes for staging Transience! It was heartening because I could tell that their friendship and experiences really tied them through junior college and helped to fulfill their teenage dreams (which many will think of it as idealistic and even frivolous to even materialise it?)

My second YFC project: I <3 A Valentine's Day project
                                                                     Location: SMU Colours Cafe

AHwang and BFF (:

                                                                   Camp buddy, jiawei (:
                                                                  On the final show: 18/2!

                                                                           The band people

PARTs Ministry and other Volunteers from YFC that came down to make the event successful (:
The one thing that I'd gain from I <3 is a deeper understanding of God's love for us, and also how imperfect human love can be. If anyone asks me in the future on why I prefer/insist on dating/marrying a Christian boyfriend, my reply would me "I can't bring myself to love a guy who does not love God, who so happens to be my Saviour and the one whom I share a close relationship with"
The turn out was great for all four shows and I'm really proud of Sebastian for presenting such an accurate and engaging script for the show. He really gave his all as a project servant and I respect his work for the ministry.

6. Another job: at Berrylite, VelocityHaha, yup I was a yoghurt girl too and to be honest, that was a really slack job due to the lack of customers. *literally swatting houseflies *. I'm comfortable with single shift, but the starting was really nerve wrecking because when there's a stream of customers, I tend to fumble on dispensing the yoghurt, making juice etc etc etc.
AND.. there was this korean/american guy who kept visiting and purchasing apple juice. I knew he had a motive.. trying to chat me up or something. I felt really uncomfortable because I'm cornered by my own stall D: I'm so glad I've left that job >< and I think they should have closed down by now because of the losses they've been making? personally, i felt that their marketing strategy was really substandard and the location was bad. The frequent "customers" I had was mainly malaysians coming down from KL, asking for directions and not purchasing anything haha.

7. STJ (senior treat junior) 2011 procrastinated to 2012I thought this was really funny because.. sigh, 10A16 is such a bad junior and senior at the same time >< JTS and STJ is a tradition in HC where both seniors and juniors take time off mugging to get to know one another better over a meal. Our senior class was a weird bunch, mainly containing students that were ostracised and infamous in their own batch. So.. they weren't exactly the best seniors we would want to associate ourselves with? The class bench sorta became our property because the seniors never shared it with us (maybe we were intimidating and aloof..yes we were). So, don't even think about meal, no one treated nobody anything lol.
Then 11A16 came along and treated us an expensive dinner at a pizza palour near watten estate and then we didn't get the chance to treat them back because of school and.. stuff (excuses). So Wenyi felt bad and we finally treated them to ding tai fung at 313 Somerset earlier on this year.

I can't rmb why Stella and I ended up at Botanics garden?!

8. 4/O mini gatheringI love Cedarians. yup, that's all I've gotta say (:
We ate a lot at Lao Ba sha and caught up with the "happenings" of our fellow classmates.

Aisyah, our diva minah (JUUUST HAHA), Cheryl (extreme makeover), Grace Su (burmese mama), Wanjun (basketball legend)

9. Noise Singapore I just felt that this was a significant event for me because I went down to Esplanade on 3/3 to watch an outdoor performance. It was also a Sat night, a day after the release of As. I was feeling helpless and very lost, but yet I really wanted to see him, so I dragged my sorry ass out of the house to get some fresh air. bb and dwag went too, thank you guys (: I just stood by the back looking at him performing. The knots and frustration in my heart started to unravel a bit and all worries left me for that moment. I wanted to say hi, but there were too many fans surrounding the band, so I left.
He got back to me shortly that night to thank me for going down to support the band and also to ask me about my As (cringe) and well, dadadada... haha, God answers prayers in many ways, I should think so..

10. A beautiful and heartwarming wedding

I loved how they weaved God's story into their wedding testimony and presented it to the audience, before ending off with their favourite song "this is how we know" by Matt Redman.

Lol, Dylan sorta became my date because we couldn't find anyone else to go with :P

korean eye smile yea?

MANY BLESSINGS FROM PARTS/YFC :D

their wedding ceremony really made me think of what kind of guy I would want to marry and live my life with..
